V-Day = D-Day?

My first real Valentine's Day was celebrated only last year. I suppose all those elementary school days don't really count??? Remember the innocent days when we'd spend our art classes making pink/red/white (heart-shaped? maybe some with doilies?) envelopes so that we'd receive those cute little mini Valentine cards from every single one of your classmates?

I've received so many questions already about what I'm going to do, how I'm going to celebrate this year. Truth is, I don't really know and I haven't decided whether or not I really care.

I used to think (and I may still think) that Valentine's Day is possibly the worst Hallmark holiday ever. I dubbed an alias for it - "Singles-Awareness Day".

Thankfully this year, it falls on Chinese New Year followed by Family Day ... making Valentine's Day all the more trivial.

So as for my plans, probably spending time with the fams and collecting red pocket money ($$!!!), and then watch a rom-com chick-flick?

What are your thoughts on Valentine's Day? A worthy day to be celebrated?
